I'm not a fan of 3D platform games. I invariably find them to be dull chores, though sometimes I will gel with the characters, settings, and music. Such is the case with Ratchet & Clank, and several others - I love them and their adventures, but the games simply aren't for me.
An early contender from the wave of currently-ongoing game-to-film adaptations (which also includes the likes of Asteroids, Minecraft, Sonic The Hedgehog, and Space Invaders), Ratchet & Clank will be making the jump to cinema early next year, and the first proper trailer was released recently. It's much better than the early teaser trailer from last year, which, even though it was cute, simply borrowed gags from the 1953 Daffy Duck short, Duck Amuck, and came off seeming a bit hackneyed as a result.
The final film is actually set to be a reimagining of the plot from the first Ratchet & Clank game, with some elements mixed in from later ones in order to give it more meaning and allow the story to better work in movie form. Let's take a look;

I'm sure that I'll find the Ratchet & Clank movie to be a much more enjoyable experience than trying to slog through a type of game that I don't find to be any fun. I'm really looking forward to this one.
