There are some pc brands that made interesting cases, for example Alienware. Their older metal towers and laptops are collectable by enthusiasts as they often had mechanical moving parts as part of the design. I understand sony viao laptops have similar followers, there must be others.

Original PSU = 6 flashes of the power light, black screen which is attempting to reload every second. Signal is detected by tv.
Upgraded PSU = stable power light, black screen. Signal is detected by tv.

Interestingly, I thought I would...
After 20 yrs of being in a shed, I was over the moon to re-ignite my CD32 after reading about the excellent TF cards from terrible fire.
Having now purchased the TF328 and 330, and using the CD32 daily at this point for maybe 6 months - I decided to have re-capped and purchased a new PSU...
To update all, I received this PSU today.
CD32 with TF330, PS2 Keyboard and Optical Mouse, on for past 24hrs no issues. PSU is warm but not hot.
Rock solid I would say for the price.
