My Parcel arrived this morning safe and sound, I must say that the PSP is in really great condition and that I should be able to get the problem sorted by using my broken PSP which has a cracked screen. One way or another I will end up with a fully working device

Feedback is on its way :)

Just a quick update to mention how I fixed the problem with the analogue stick. It was as mentioned moving (character or menu etc) when it was being used in games when it was meant to be still, I found that there was actually nothing wrong with the stick itself. When the stick is separated from the main board the movement still continued which meant that there was probably a contact problem so I tried it out by removing the stick from the front cover and firmly holding it in place while a game was running and it worked as it was meant to.

The way I sorted out the problem was by filing off a small amount from the 2 screw pillars that screw the case together where the analogue stick is situated, this allows a little extra pressure to be applied to the analogue stick and its connection to the main board and that is about it. I had looked at other methods on the internet but they didn't work so that is when I tried something different

The brown dots are where the 2 pillars are that I filed down a bit, the picture is originally from here and I just added the two dots for convenience.

Maybe this will come in useful for others as a last resort, I can say however that I a pleased with the results and there is no damage to the casing to be seen :)

White PSP works great, except for the charging issue, which I'll have to look into :)
