I just replaced my leaking battery on my 4k mobo. I cleaned up the leakage around the battery. All good.

But the computer still does not report a realtime clock. Is there anything else I could check? I have both oscilloscope and multimeter and a degree in electronics way way back :) The just got the mobo so I did not check if the clock worked before the change:picard

I'm thinking if I could check for a clock pulse somewhere or any other logic.

yes, you could check that the 32kHz oscillator works with your scope..

otherwise, check continuity around the clock area..

could also be the ricoh chip itself that has packed up..
