What floppy (or cd) is needed to activate ide in a CDTV?

Well, You just need to boot Workbench from CD, external floppy drive or SCSI (if You have SCSI plugin card) then You can use IDE. alternatively You need to wire up a switch to J15 jumper, and turn off exended ROMS (then CDTV will act as a standard A500 Amiga) and You can boot from ide

Hi guys, sorry, have not updated this thread for a while.. Have got a bunch of non-working pcbs (pcb manufacturer forgot to connect ground plane) so wasn't able to build these, reordered now, should be here soon, so hope this time all be fine..

also want to share my not so good feelings too:
finally got time, started to clean up and send out odrers during last week.. I do NOT expect everyone does still have spare cash at the end of the Year, but hey, all i need - is a conversation! How about something like that:

-"Sorry dude, i gave out all my cash for Christmas presents, yet still want my card - can You please wait some day's/weeks/months"?
Or:
-"..it took to long, i am not interested anymore..."
am i asking too much? There ar more persons in the queue than i was planned, some users waiting on items ordered in September, and i think all are interested to get their parts as soon as possible, right?
So if i send out a personal message with notification that card is built and ready to go - i hope to get reply. That's all i am asking about.. If i see that peson was online several times since then, but just ignored my post - this person will be blacklisted in future. Hope You understand..

Ok. Relocator is not obligatory needed, only if You have some kind of Kickstart adapter or Megachip, board firs nicely if these are not in use..

Yes, Ivm still moderately interested.
Moderately???? Yes, because I'm also investigating if a HC533 will work in my CDTV, and if so I'm preferring that one.

So please leave me in the queue, but not on high priority.

I'll keep you informed on my progress, as I'm waiting on some parts to arrive.

HC533 will probably work if switch to JP15 installed, in order to boot from IDE You will need to d8sable extended roms.

Without extended roms the cdrom cannot be used.
I'd prefer a solution as the one you proposed with your board also if ide is active after floppy loading.

Not in this moment, my CDTV has issue in powering on.

Maybe when I'll find time to investigate into this.
