Hello fellow Amiga fans,
To introduce myself, I am residing in Switzerland, but am a French national. I'm between 40 and 50 too.

I have a very fond history with what we now call retro computers. As a kid I had the pleasure to use an Apple II, and then a Mac Plus. These were incredible machines (I don't have them anymore, but have since acquired a few Pluses). I then turned to the dreaded boring IBM boxes and game consoles, before getting my hands on an A1200. It was a magnificent machine, which I really enjoyed.
I since try to get my hands on machines that remind me of youth experiences, or that I dreamt of having back in the days, or sometimes things that are just weird and funny.
I also enjoy working on those machines. To repair them, to maintain them, to upgrade them even. I can play with my soldering iron, and, to my limited abilities, I enjoy working on an old mac or a game console.

As a collector, I would describe me as a person who likes to get stuff, more to "have the thing" than to overuse them. I am quite unable to part with things (to the despair of my basement, which is getting clogged). I discovered this site by browsing some topics related to the Amiga, and saw a community of people who also like and care for these machines. So, here I am.

Machine-wise, I am currently dabbing with :
- Old macIntoshes(Plus, SE/30, Color Classic I, II and Takky, and some other Power PC stuff)
- An Amiga 500 and a 600 (this one is quite well equipped, with a new Kickstart, a CF card and 8 Megs of RAM, and I like the 600 form factor too)
- Various consoles, from the NES to the latest Playstation (especially stuff that didn't leave Japan like the Casio Loopy, Bandai Playdia,...).

I'll try to help if I can, if I have some knowledge, but I'm well aware that I'm not an expert and there are people who know more. So I'll just try to enjoy things and have a good time and let good vibes out. Life's too short, we should spend it enjoying good old games.
