Hi guys the new rgb to scart cable arrived - the serial end is shielded perfectly and the good news is that this lead works perfectly! I have now got some restored faith in my 1200. Roy I checked Amigakit and I can get a replacement drive so I think I will keep the Amiga. Still a little worried about the power light but we'll see how it pans out. I am also going to send it to Amigakit to be recapped next month - January has me a bit strapped for cash at the moment and later I will invest in the ACA accllerator card.
My A500 arrives today so I should be able to install the gotek and play Giana Sisters, Cabal, Lemmings all evening - can't wait!
