A1200 no HDD led activity (with normal HDD)

Hi

I know this subject has been discussed to death on all Amiga forums, but from what I've read it was always with a CF<->IDE adapter.

I have this problem with a plain 2.5" 10GB HDD.
Can something be done to fix this? not a big issue, but still...

Does the LED normally work? (I.e with another drive)

It worked with the previous HDD (which died) but since I installed the new one, I worked with the case open so basically I've never seen the led work with the current HDD.

I now have a new problem, which I'll open a different thread for...

Yep I seen that with a previous HD in my A1200. Sadly I don't think that you can do something except changing HD (unless the l33t folks have some nasty hacking solution up their sleeve)
