Hello All,

I'm back in the Amiga world after 20 years :)
Saying that I owned a A500 + the 512Ko extension

I now I have a A2000 + a :censored: 2091 to parameter

So here are my problems

I'm using the installation software A2091

I have a SCSI Quantum and a Sysquest 88
Quantum is SCSI ID 0
Sysquest is SCSI ID 1

Quantum issue:
I was able to low format and initalize the quantum hard drive but it's not bootable (there is no workbench on it)
I do I transfer a workbench on the HD?

Also by default the disk is looking bor a hardrive ID 6 and I can't change to 0

Sysquest issue:
In the drive preparation menu, I'm able to load automatically the drive type but I try to save the change, I have an errore message "error 3 on write"
Is that an issue with the cartridge? I was not able to test the cartridge before

Tx for the help

William

#1: The A2091 is tied to SCSI ID7.

The installation/preparation/format floppy will always check all the SCSI chain for devices, from 0 to 6. It it gets stuck on ID6 and do not advance, something is hanging the SCSI chain, probably the Syquest.

A2091 is very finicky with removable drives as Syquest, sack it out if you can. Otherwise you will always have to have a media inserted in the drive in order to make the HD boot.:face:

Pretty same behaviour as a CD unit.:banghead:

#2: Syquest is a removable device, you can't format it using HDToolbox or GVP Faaastprep. Only after mounted from inside Workbench the driver will show up in Workbench screen as an icon.
