I did not check the dates of the posts as this threat was dig out some time ago and also people regularly put their interest although the ROM is not manufactured for years now.
I myself had 6.12 so the 6.14 was an upgrade that I program to my chip back in the day. Anyway as the @thebajaguy said there wasn't any driver changes of note since v6.14

Ralph chose to keep v6.14 on the download page because it's a 'safer' boot time bus-scan algorithm than what is in the v6.16. There's no other functional change to the driver over v6.14. The last significant change was in the ~6.11/6.12 era (exact details are in the support notes) when the support for the large media TD_64 APIs was added.

The minor change to the device scan was requested by SpeedGeek before I took over. It had to do with how the driver queries devices to see if they support Sync at all. If a corner-case device has a bug in that behavior/response, it could hang the boot time device scan. v6.14 is simply safer and is the fallback anyway.

FWIW - Turning any Sync behavior on with a given device via the provided support tool is much safer than either this scan behavior, or setting the Sync flag in the boot block(s) of devices. If you have a device that isn't disk media, but supports Sync, you still have to use the tool.

Once we get the new adapter going, I'll get some EPROMs made available again - but honestly - v6.14 is sufficient for everyone.

As an update to the PCB rework topic mentioned several months ago, we now have an all-SMD component prototype version of SpeedGeek's Omni (C= and GVP) module which is now deemed functional. This was to validate the move off of Eagle to KiCAD, fit the different component's footprints, and a few other minor things. I have a query in to Ralph about my legacy wish list to add to the driver - only for corner case wishes, no changes to current support - but I won't be holding out for a response as he's not been interested in adding them previously.

I am waiting on another PCB revision which will allow for the machine pin strips to be submerged into the PCB, much like the most recent module had. The idea is to hopefully get the module built completely in one automated soldering pass. I am hoping this PCB adjustment will get done by mid-December (busy schedules, holiday, and a volunteer helping me with the KiCAD effort), resulting in a final revision.

My goal will be to have 2x identical PCB modules sent off to be made. Each would be default wired to either C= or GVP. A trace cut/solder over pad, or manually add a 3-pin jumper, would alter it to the other type. Most people seem to not need the option to switch modes, but those that desire to still can. The SMD components will also be on the underside (ref: Attached pic). This lowers the module profile to hopefully support even the A590 under it's metal shield/drive support plate. The downside is this SMD version will not have an option to update the driver ROM - but we haven't had that change in something like 7+ years (v6.16) and v6.14 is still the standard from even further back.

Thanks for the additional interests in the queue. More to come.

It would be very useful (for a few people ...) if the GuruROM would not hide AMIX boot partitions. Can't boot AMIX with A2091 or GVP (patched AMIX) when GuruROM is installed.

I have a general question that perhaps someone can answer, in particular thebajaguy who is familiar with SCSI card development.
And apologies if this is a stupid question. This is not my field of expertise.

I own an A2000 & 2091 SCSI card. I cannot use the 2091 (I have a few scsi devices) since it is incompatible with both my PiStorm A2K and Vampire 500 v2+. My understanding is that it has something to do with neither device supporting bus mastering.

According to the web sites bigbookofamigahardware.com & amiga.resource.cx:
if Zorro-II DMA-capable memory is not available, the driver falls back to programmed I/O transfers

Note: The 2091 does not work even if its onboard ram is disabled. Furthermore, my Amiga does not have any Z2 RAM. So this statement does not seem to be correct.

Questions:

What 'driver' is this referring to?
Would the GuruRom allow the 2091 to function in these cases. I'm assuming not, but I figured why not ask.

Thank-you.
