At last my A3000 has arrived and what a beauty. It must be 30 years since I had my last one. Sadly the promised Workbench disks didn't turn up and it seems the Kickstart ROM's are copies so I would like to buy some genuine items if anybody has some to sell. I have tried to buy some on-line but the confusion between Hyperion and Cloanto (AF) is simply staggering and I am totally bewildered. I can't buy any licences or downloads from Hyperion despite trying - the download files just don't seem to be there. The installed versions on my A3000 are reported as Kickstart 46.143 and Workbench 45.194 which I understand are both Hyperion version 3.1.4 products. I don't really want to de- and re-install Cloanto replacements if I don't have to. The Kickstart ROM's are on a tower so I believe are 27C400 items but I understand that there may be a possibility of installing 27C220 versions if I can confirm which sockets they use.

I am more than happy to buy here for a fair price and would prefer it but in all honesty I would welcome any information or sources of what I need to make my A3000 legit.

Edit: Order confirmed from amigastore. Thanks for the help, @Picard. Closing this topic now.

Why are you not going for the newer AmigaOS 3.2 (3.2.2.1)?

Because I am happy with 3.1.4, I don't really want to disassemble again to change ROM's (I realise 3.1.4 will support 3.2.x but I still need legit ROM's) and I don't have a CD drive attached.

Thanks, @Picard, I saw that but dismissed it as I thought it was an upgrade to an existing licence. I will investigate further.

Thanks for the confirmation. I'll close this topic out once I have the order confirmation.
