I am now shifting focus towards new A314 implementations.
The project is OpenSource, so maybe someone else will have a go at it?

I may do that but I find no links to the Gerber files for the A1000 version Happy to try though just need the links.

Gerbers are not source files, they are production files, more comparable to binaries.
I suggest you install the latest KiCAD version with appropriate plug-ins such as https://github.com/Bouni/kicad-jlcpcb-tools and https://github.com/matthewlai/JLCKicadTools (if you intend to use JLC for PCB manufacure and assembly, of course ) and make your own Gerbers from there.
