This co-processor board allows you to use a RaspberryPi Zero or Zero 2 Single Board Computer, as an offload for various tasks in your Amiga with a clock port. It has been tested to work in an Amiga 1200, and could also work with other devices that expose a clock port. In such case, You may need to adapt the Amiga-side driver yourself for this to work. See the open source repository at https://github.com/niklasekstrom/a314/tree/clockport_if or the A314 discord for more information. The PCB for sale here, is an alternative design, which can be found at the forked repo https://github.com/Eriond/clockport_pi_interface/.
A 40-pin female header for the Raspberry Pi is included with the board, but not soldered on. The header is for those of you that wish to keep your Raspberry SBC removable. If you need help with the soldering of this header, please let me know along with your declaration of interest, and I'll do it for you. Note that if you choose to have a header soldered on to the board, the complete module won't be as low-profile as shown in the photo above.
Attention:
Important note 1
This PCB is designed to be mounted back-to-back with the RPi Zero/Zero2 ! If you own a RPi Zero or Zero2 with a pin header already soldered on, it's likely that the header is mounted on the top, or component side. That configuration won't work with this version of the A314-cp, as the RPi will then attach upside-down to what is intended, and sensitive pins on both boards will end up cross-connected, leading to possible damage of the A314-cp, RPi Zero and/or your Amiga!
If you're unsure of how to relocate the pin header yourself, take help and advise from someone who has the skills and knowledge. Don't risk damaging your Amiga.
Important note 2
To ensure proper operation of this adapter and the attached SBC, you need to make sure the PSU that is powering your Amiga, has it's voltages within specs and is in good working order. Old PSUs are known to have degraded outputs, and may cause disturbances and other hard-to-identify issues for the A314-cp adapter.
