@RetroPanic - I have this habit of looking at the slots and trying to figure out what's inside. It passes time. Some mysterious stuff back there. :-)

@Buzzfuzz - stickers won't do. Also, I don't know why I have a preference for the Commodore Amiga logo. It some type of compulsion I think. A while ago I asked if someone knew how to put the floppy/power-on screen and text in 3.1.4/3.2 back to the way it was in the 3.1 kickstart with the checkmark/Commodore copyright, etc.

I know but the sticker sort of engraved in it, but it's pure the old logo like the A1200

Thats the case you see next to my A4KT in the picture I posted at the beginning of this thread its a Micronik case to take a A4000D motherboard

Yeah I know. had this one with rev B and D CR, also 3000D version (original).

Most home based printers are not big enough to print the doors. So maybe PCBWAY can do do it, as they offer 3D printing.
JLCPCB is dead cheap and does amazing work with resin printing...
They print transparent resin too....

I didn't regret it, but your fully right there, just in the box not being used is like having a Ferrari 288 GTO sitting in a garage under a Ferrari cover doing nothing, just go out and drive it!
I know where most machines are, the 2nd 4000T is a bit of an unknown as that was sold on by Marvin to someone in California. But the first is here in the Netherlands, just like the 3000T, so if they need to be rescued, not a problem!

But that door printing is a good idea, we should definitely look into that, would be good as some doors are just falling apart

Something like this ? 👇

Here are the pics of the mounting plate from behind I promised: and the LED stuff:
3 x 5mm LED's:
Forward current: 20mA typical
Forward voltage: white UV 3.0V
And 1 x 1/8W 5% Carbon film Resistor 100 Ohm
fitted to illuminate the "A4000T" wording

The 3D printed door to my 4000T came in yesterday. Unfortunately, the seller from Etsy forgot to print the frame that holds the window onto the door. I don't like how the 3D printed window came out, so I just sent a request to PCB Way to print the window frame and a new window made out of black translucent polycarbonate. I'll give an update once I receive the parts from PCB Way. I managed to find a tubular key that fits my tower. ABA 2036 is the key code. For the Amiga sticker that goes on the front of the door, I ordered a vinyl badge from Retro 8 Bit Shop. https://retro8bitshop.com/product/amiga-4000t-badge-escom/ I also ordered a BigRamPlus 256 mb memory expansion.

@RetroPanic A while ago I asked if someone knew how to put the floppy/power-on screen and text in 3.1.4/3.2 back to the way it was in the 3.1 kickstart with the checkmark/Commodore copyright, etc.

What was the reply?

I HATE the way they removed the lovely animation and checkmark, and would love to have it back somehow.

Does anybody have an extra Video Toaster badge? I want one for my keyboard.

Could someone scan these so they can be re-printed on a decal or waterslide paper? Maybe plug in your EPSON SCSI scanner into the A2091 next time the face is off your Amiga and keyboard and scan these at 300dpi? :)

...or heavens forbid if someone out there has an unapplied labels to scan? (tingles)

I've gotten only one suggestion that seems to make sense that points using some Romsplit software to get into it. But knowledge/ability beyond that is lacking. Someone with some coding ability is needed to copy the old one back into the new rom - surely this isn't impossible to do.

I knew I wasn't the only one who didn't care for the removal of the checkmark and Commodore references in that boot screen JHanna! :)

...if for no other reason than historic tribute and accuracy. I appreciate Hyperion's work, but some things shouldn't change.

I mean...after Formula 1 added that flip-flop halo crap, is it still an open cockpit formula or just an open sunroof?

Great idea to scan it!

That 3D-printed door looks amazing! The color is very much like my yellowed 4000T! :) Also the one-size feet-stand looks much neater than the (original?) one that's adjustable width.

The very slim top of the window still looks pretty fragile; perhaps the 3D-printed version could be made to have a slot/thin hole thru the whole top edge and then a thin metal rod or something could be inserted and glued in there to strenghten it?

I chatted with @usferic about the keys. The one that works in my case seemed very generic and I was able to model and 3D-print a working copy. Not very sturdy and I am not sure if this blank design would really fit all the locks, but if any of you would like to try this out, I'd be interested to hear if it works.

Still waiting on the window and window frame, but here's the 3D printed door based on the files on https://www.printables.com/model/869629-escom-amiga-4000t-door I also had the tower feet and CF faceplate 3D printed.

The door is extremely fragile. Now I know why so many towers are missing their doors. If I ever need to have it re-printed, I think I would have the door and its pins printed in metal. I did have to sand down the piece in the image below, so if anyone plans on printing a door in metal, you might want to print this piece in plastic.

@usferic - OH NO usferic! Are you telling me you could have replaced the nondescript logo rectangle window in the door that may or may not have an Intel Inside and Windows logo sticker in another version of this case with a debossed beautiful Amiga logo text (see previous pages) and corrected the criminal act by Commodore of the 4000T not having what the 4000D has on the case? ...that beautiful AMIGA And you could have claimed the vacant presidency WITHOUT killing any original Amiga cases.

To the bat cave! ...I mean to the 3D printer! :)
