Hiya again. Too many questions today. :D

Anyway, I've seen that 4-5 revisions of the A600's motherboard have been produced. So here's my query.

Ok, I don't want to speak about 1.1 rev, as it was the first one. But what about the others (1.3 or 1.5 or 2.0)? Only the installed ROMs were the difference, or it's something else too?

Also, about expandability with other hardware (ie. ACA630, Indivision ECS, A604 etc), what's the best rev. for A600?

Thanks in advance.

Hi!

I had Rev 1.3 (A300) it didn't work with my Apollo 620, appeared to be a timing issue.

Rev 1.5 seems to be the board of choice, my ACA630/Apollo 620/30 all work perfect on Rev 1.5

Also ACA630 seems to need good capacitors, I have one board which may need caps replaced. I get some issues with that board and an ACA630+IndiECS. It works with ACA630 @ 25mhz but not overclocked to 40mhz... Indivision gives lines on screen.

I never tested ACA630 on Rev 1.3 tho.

Steve.

I have a revision 1 it is not marked as 1.1 and aca630 does not work:D

Hi,

I have only 1.5 revisions, but all my expansions works great.... KS switch 1.3/3.1, IndiECS, A603, A630 32MB/25Mhz. :)

Hm... too many positive votes for 1.5 revisions. So I will go for this one probably (but not right now). :D

Thanks for the answers so far.

Thats a revision 1.0, aka the A300. I had one of those boards too and it wouldn't work with my ACA630. My Rev 1.5 replacement board worked perfectly.
