Hello.
I have once again bought myself an csppc and ofc I'm having some problems :)

The issue I'm having atm is that my acard is giving med read and write errors on every media I have tried, ssd/2.5" ide/3.5" ide/ cf cards.
When I plug in a normal uw scsi hdd everything works perfect. I have tried different max transfers and masks but nothing works when the acard is plugged in.
The firmware version is X.88 can't remember the first digit in the version that's why X.

Have any one similar experience with the acard and have tried different firmware on it? I don't have a pc with scsi so I can't change the firmware myself.

Do you overclock the CSPPC? Maybe the SCSI can't take the overclocking?

The SCSI part is running at 66mhz so it should be fine :)
After all, when i remove the acard and use my normal SCSI HDD without the adapter i have no problem what so ever so the troublemaker in this must be the Acard.

I have an Acard 7722 which works perfectly straight out of the box in my CSPPC A4000T.

I don't know what is different with the 7720, but if you follow this link, you may find some information about problems with the 7720. http://www.mfilos.com/2011/09/a4000-my-acard-7220uw-experience-and.html

Thank you, i bet i need to downgrade the firmware to get this thing to work. But i dont have a PC with a SCSI card so i gues i have to send it away to some one that have one up and running :)

Maybe the ACard can't take the scsi being overclocked? Do you have another crystal to try at 50mhz?

Could be, the seller who is a friend tells me he used a Kingston ssd with the adapter without any problem and I have gotten one old 4gb cf to work that's alls but 99% on the media I tried refuses. But I will try to runt it at stock speeds and see what happens :)

Good luck :)

Will need it :)
I have also waged war against our old enemy, BlitzQuake, trying to get it to start with GL is a pain in the ass :D

I had it working once, I don't remember how lol

It was fun that one time... Was a combination of settings on the Mediator software...

Same here, one time and no more :)
Tried the settings i had back then but i still end up with a grey screen when i use my prometheus and voodoo 3
