I bought this laptop on here a few weeks ago and spruced it up with the intention of providing it to a relative, however, it is now no longer required.
In the time I have had it I have added the following upgrades:
Upgraded to 4GB of RAM
250GB HDD installed.
T8100 Core 2 Duo CPU Installed
Brand new genuine Acer charger
Missing rubber feet replaced
Fully licenced copy of Windows 7 Home Premium (Acer licence key stuck on base of laptop). The laptop originally came with, and still has the licence key for, Windows 7 Professional Academic edition. However, unless you have recovery discs, as the licence sticker has no key, you cannot re-install from it
General specs:
The left mouse button has also 'sunken' a little, but still works fine.
Unlike most other Extensa 5235 models, this one has both 4GB of RAM (approx 3.84GB available to Windows due to shared graphics) on a 64-bit version of Windows 7 Home Premium (Licence will be affixed to base next to existing academic version licence) AND and a Core 2 Duo T8100 @2.10Ghz, which is far superior to the single core Celeron.
The laptop also comes with a 250GB hard drive and a DVD multi-drive that can read and write DVDs as well as CDs.
In addition, the laptop will come with a new, genuine Acer charger and a carry bag. This really is ready to get you started as soon as you unpack the box!
The battery holds a pretty decent charge as well, so you won't be tied to a mains socket.
This is perfect for browsing the net or doing office based tasks. Also quite happy to run iPlayer. Due to the built-in graphics, gaming on intensive titles is not recommended.
No discs are supplied with the laptop. You will receive the laptop, charger and mains cable and a laptop bag. No manuals or other literature are supplied.
This is priced to sell, and includes free delivery (uninsured).
This laptop was previously owned by a smoker, and despite a thorough clean, there is still a slight smell of tobacco, although you need to have your nose about 1" from the keyboard, so it really isn't too bad - just wanted to make you aware!
