AMD Server PC

I'll get photo's etc ASAP but in the meantime I'm going to list the specs here so that you can register interest, ask questions etc. Apologies, but I'm pushed for time but wanted to get this on the site.

• AMD FX-8150 3.6GHz CPU
• Asus Sabertooth motherboard (the first revision).
• 16GB (2 x 8GB) of ECC RAM.
• Nvidia GTX280 GPU.
• 3 x 500GB Western Digital RE (RAID edition) hard drives (i.e. enterprise class).
• 1 x 1TB drive
• ASUS DVD-RW.
• Zalman case with front-access hot-swap SATA drive bays. Hot-swap works perfectly with Windows.
• 650W Corsair PSU

The list is from memory and I will include exact brands for clarity when I can get a chance to fire it up.

This machine was an Amibay purchase a while ago where I immediately upgraded the drives and RAM. It's been a solid server since then but I haven't used it within the past 2-3 months because of other upgrades and things that have made it redundant for its original use.

Worthy of note is the case: http://www.zalman.com/global/product/Product_Read.php?Idx=367 ... It's an absolute beast. It's solid (i.e. heavy) and with plenty of nice features. Best case I've ever owned and with the SATA hot-swap, it's fantastic to use.

Before it is ready for collection, I will need to wipe the OS (Windows Server 2012) and remove my files. It does currently have a 2TB drive installed in addition to the list above. I will remove that and retain it for my data backup.

I guarantee that this is as solid a PC as I've ever used. It has never crashed on me and was in 24x7 use for months at a time over at least an 8 month period. Everything is in perfect working order.

I'm asking £500 with a guarantee that it's working perfectly. Collection is much, much preferred because it's a weighty item indeed.

I'll try to get the photo's taken and uploaded ASAP but I've got a really full day tomorrow. I will take the photo's before I do anything else to the PC though, so I will be able to show it working and booting happily. That way anyone who has shown interest will have chance to have a think and a look before making a final purchase decision.

I did wonder why there was so much interest so quickly.

I'm sure a lot of us were thinking that had happened and were just waiting to see when you'd realise! With the rules of course any comment in the thread about your price would have been regarded as price driving .

That is true of course, one of the downsides of our rules on no price comments.

Anyway, HonestFlames has indeed been in contact with the staff, and it seems like a reasonable mistake to make. We don't expect anyone to hold him to that price. So everyone who has declared interest so far still retains their place in line, but can withdraw or continue with their interest as they see fit. As long as they accept the corrected price of course.

Thank-you all for taking this in good spirits. I was extremely embarrassed!

I've added a link to an Imgur album with a few photo's of the server, including the Windows Server info screen thingy to show everything is healthy.

Now I'm going to try to decipher if anyone is still interested and who might be first on that list.
