OK thanks, I guess am going to have to do a bit more reading on this subject as I had (naively) assumed I could draw a square with a circle in middle and end up with a square piece of metal with a hole in it!! Lol

No, you are correct in your thinking (square and circle) and if you send that DXF from above to someone to cut it, you'll end up with a "nice" frame..

why would it make a frame
which line is cut? The red or blue

Both, red outside+blue inside=frame. Color mean nothing.
If you send any part to do, never do any "tool paths"
(how you'll know what tool will be used?).

this: p1.jpg=P2.jpg

But we are "derailing" this thread. If you want talk about it, open new thread.

I agree on the fact that derailing is never a good thing, especially when a train is involved, but the damage over here is far less, so I'll just take the risk.
The red line is the outline of the part that has to be cut out, the blue line is the heart or toolpath of the endmill, in this case a 4 mm mill, so the distance between the 2 lines is 2 mm.

Hello, i'm interest for one back plate, paint in black. I' m in france, How it cost to send the back plate ?

You need to do some work!

Why? If you use accelerator you need the ps upside down (space needed) else as normal..

You make the holes! Is not so hard.. Is aluminum

Correct..

I have make some adjustments.. Like cut on backplate for the correct high

Handwork needed.. As always

The backplate dimensions stay as is.. In original format
