Some of you may have been following the progress of this in the photo booth! This is a reproduction case designed with all those new reproduction A4000 PCB'S in mind!!
This utilises an SFX PSU but keeps the original style power button for the same mechanical on/off feel and no change needed to the original plastic parts.
Expansion slots have been added to the rear for future features, a CF to IDE PCB and SD to IDE PCB mount have both been made to show possibilities and a set of honeycomb ventilation blanks have been made as an option if required.
Case dimensions are as per the original, the top cover will fit on the original and vice versa, some parts have adjustment built in where the original didn’t, Zorro cage on the back can be moved up and down a few mm, top bar that holds the Zorro daughter card can be adjusted a few mm, the new tower to hold the power switch can be moved back and fourth a few mm so you can set exactly how much you want the power switch to stick out etc..
Case will be made from galvanised steel, the top cover is then painted in 2K (Paint & hardener) polyurethane, the colour has been custom mixed and has a light texture in keeping with the original cases. However I have 3 A4000's here and every one is a different shade !!!
Pre order case price is £350 plus any extras required, £150 deposit is required on joining the pre order, once the pre order closing date is met there is no possibility to join. Extra cases may be made and sold at the normal price of £400. Once the pre order date is reached the case manufacturing will start regardless of the amount of pre orders. Please note your pre order deposit is none refundable, however should something arise that makes manufacturing impossible for an extended period of time you would obviously have your deposit refunded to you.
Shipping in the UK will be £15 and most of Europe will be £25. If you send me your details I will double check. USA will be around £100 but again send me your details and I will check this.
What you get:
Main case: Top, bottom, 5.25/floppy drive tray, 3.5" drive brackets, Zorro card cage, Zorro daughter card holder, mouse/joy port plate cover for mainboard, power switch tower, blanks for expansion slots, power switch, all required fixings, rubber feet, 3D Printed Zorro slot guides.
