Is it absolutely necessary to mod the case in order to use the HxC emulator ? I ask because if I ever decide to buy one i'd like to have it hidden completely.

From what I understand! No you do not need to use the lcd. Somebody will confirm that 100% soon enough.

I bought both the HxC board with Lcd and the HxC Slim.

I have been torn which Amiga's to put the HxC's into... mounting the screen is the hardest part and I am worried about messing things up :(

you don't have to cut the case , you can use the boot gui if you like but disk swapping becomes a problem

update :

HCX floppy em fitted now , 1024k chip / 512k chip ram selectors now working.

LCD to fit and buttons too.

mike.

Retro brighted a new (old) A500 case as the old one has a crack in it from shipping.

Keyboard de-dusted and whitened.

all most as new :-)

i changed the keyboard to my one as its white already and works perfectly.. i'll change the membrane or just get another one for mine later :-)

Is the membrane truly faulty? I wonder if the little rubber contact pads under each keypost have gone bad. This seems to happen on C64 keyboards.

I have something that needs my attention but just have not as yet. I put together parts from an a1200 and A500 keyboard with a keyrah. Got quite frustrated over how a few keys refused to work but I know the ribbon is ok. Only other option is worn rubber contacts.
