Selling a fully assembled and tested Flash ROM, useful to replace the Kickstart ROM(s) or as a Diagnostic ROM
It's fully pin compatible with the original ROMs but uses a reprogrammable 512KB (kilobytes) flash chip
This board is my own design, there are similar Flash ROMs on sale on ebay, most notably the F2R16 from GGLABS, they're great but in my opinion they all have a minor issue that makes them a bit inconvenient to use on motherboards with the infamous "oops bug" (A500 Rev 5 and older, A2000 Rev 4.2 and older)
In their design there are a few pads on the board that have to be bridged with solder and a couple of traces to cut, it's not hard but the mod is not easily reversible in case you need to use the ROM on a different Amiga, on my board there's a single convenient jumper which makes it easy to apply the fix or remove it when not needed
I also included pull-up resistors on all address lines to improve compatibility with some Amiga boards, there are already adapters that solve this problem but I wanted my Flash ROM to be "plug and play" so when using it you don't need any adapter, just remove the old ROM and plug in the new one!
How can i program it?
For programming there are a few different options:
- I can program your Flash ROM for free*
* Note that I'm just selling the hardware, DiagROM is free and open source so there's no issue with copyright, but if you need any version of Kickstart you have to provide the ROM file and make sure you have the license
- You can use the popular Mini Pro TL866 Programmer with an adapter for Flash ROMs
- You can use my "KS Programmer" (see below) and an Arduino MEGA or a cheap clone
Price:

Flash ROM in PURPLE - (BLANK): 30€ + shipping
Flash ROM in PURPLE - (PROGRAMMED): 30€ + shipping (programming is free)

KS Programmer (Assembled): 20€ + shipping
(Of course in case you want both I'll combine shipping
)
If you don't have a TL866 programmer the cheapest and simplest way to program the ROM is my own "KS Programmer". It's a simple shield for the Arduino MEGA that I designed specifically for this type of Flash ROM, you don't need any adapters or special cables, just the Arduino and the ROM itself. Programming is done by connecting the MEGA to any PC via the USB port.
I'll provide the software with instructions
(See one of the pictures below for a demonstration)
