Can I use any PS2 keyboards then with the A1000 with your adapter? Also can be attached an USB adaptor to exchange the PS2 for that? is there any restrictions or compatibility issues I should have to expect?

You can use any PS2 keyboards with it (I can not guarantee all will work, but in my experience most work, sometimes few do not). A1000 version can only be made with PS2 connector. You can try use PS2-USB adapter, but that work only for PS2 compatible keyboard (such as the Genius one I listed in the thread).
