Question - how are Amiga-specific keys (Help, and both Amigas) mapped in case of a PC PS/2 keyboard? Especially in case of an IBM Model M, which lacks the Meta (aka Win) key?

You need the Win keys, those are mapped as A(Amiga) keys.

Not directly, no. While the A500's keyboard speaks the same protocol as the big box Amiga ones, you'd still have to find a way to wire the keyboard header to an external connector somehow, and then connect a PS2 adapter to it. Which will replace the built-in keyboard completely, naturally.

No it is not direct connection, there is integrated circuit that translates between different PC-Amiga protocols.
