Hi jonni. I have given up on this Floppyreader as writer project. It never worked with none FTDI rs232 to USB interface and none of my mini Pro arduino boards. Rev 2.1 could work but the Windows program exe file is not given. And I have tried the ino v2.1 file without any progress. Writing never worked. Only produces a Communications error. Only interface that works is ADFcopy!

Sad to hear that you didn't manage to build a working one yourself. Newest exe files are downloadable from http://amiga.robsmithdev.co.uk/download 2.0 works for me just fine, but 2.1 has diagnostic part that might tell you whats wrong with your build or environment.

If you followed the DIY build instructions ( http://amiga.robsmithdev.co.uk/instructions ) and double checked everything and didn't manage to get it working, then I'd start debugging the external things like is every pin in floppy cable working, is any of the jumper wires broken, cold solder joints. And or trying multiple disk drives, multiple floppy cables, multiple external powers, different windows machine with different usb ports etc.

You could just of course order one that I've built. I always test each and every board that I build by writing a adf file to disk with "verify on" enabled and I haven't had any of the problems that you have described in robs page.

PS. I just tested with V2.1 version and both Diagnostics and write with "verify on" works nicely on that one too. So current customers can safely upgrade from V2 to V2.1 with Arduino IDE. I'll upgrade current stock to V2.1 over the weekend and new orders will receive the new V2.1 release preflashed to their device.

Got the package a few days ago, and after a few problems (my fault) everything works like a charm. BIG thanks to Jonni for suggestions and support how to fix the problems.
