I’m new to the forum and recently picked up a B&O MX7000, which was working perfectly until a couple of weeks ago. The set now refuses to come out of standby mode when powered on.
From what I’ve read, this could be related to the power supply board and may require a full recap, or possibly attention to other components in the standby/power-on circuit. I do have the service manual, but I don’t have the experience or equipment to carry out the repair myself.
I’ve tried to find someone locally who still works on CRTs without much success, so I’m hoping there might be someone Midlands-based with the expertise to take this on.
