"Why the secrecy? Why announce it, provide a couple of teaser screen shots, and then refuse to explain how it's done?"

well maybe because there are other guys around offering their service that involves upgrading CPU, overclocking etc. They don't seem to do a charity work :)

Good job dez3!

Alright then, who's offering this service? What's involved in turning an 80mhz capable 1260 board into a 100mhz capable board? How much?

That sort of information would be interesting and helpful rather than this childish 'who's got the biggest phallus' nonsense.

Let's summarize what we know and continue in the game:

Blizzard 12X0 showed only from the other side => probably hiding 060 adapter on B1240
It uses LC version => mostly used with 060 adapter
It uses 60ns RAM => you cannot go over 72-75 MHz with 60ns, so its rather 1240 with 060 adapter
He does not want to show memory tests => because it could probably show the similar RAM speed as 50MHz, so its very probably 1240 with 060 adapter

You're totally right and you really know how the things are going on. Also, thanks for your words. I really appreciate that. At the moment, people only want to get the info... On Wednesday, I will show you a little bit more about 060 rev.6 (Blizzard).

I don't play any games. You can try it if you thinks it's right. You know what they say about the risk.

Whats sort of life expectancy would 100mhz give? Isn't this going to kill a perfectly good card and processor at some point?

He must have some cooling solution on the other side.

100 mhz with old museum card ? dangerous MOD shortly life , I doubt for 100 proc stabillity for many hours games playes and demos

So whats the progress with rev6 and SCSI kit?

Rev.6 manufactured by Motorola(FREESCALE rev.6 is being unstable with 100Mhz) works fine in the system and it works. Waiting for the SCSI kit. Work in progress.
