Hello everyone - I'm the proud owner of an Amiga 2000HD. I was about 13 in 1988 when I convinced my father to buy an Amiga 500 (over a PC) after seeing it at a friend's house, and then ultimately bought my own Amiga 2000HD a year later after saving up for it. Used it all through high school and university, until I moved in 2002. After having it in storage for 20 years, I decided to dig it out and see if it still works - and I can't believe it that it does. What a great machine the Amiga was. Thanks to youtube I removed the varta battery - minimal leakage - and it all works, except the mouse is missing wheels so need to use a usb device or the keyboard , and the hard drive no longer self-boots (maybe a software setting?).
