Hi All (that are reading),

I'm a computer hoarder.

Presently, I'm getting my Amiga collection in order so I can play with them, most for the first time. I have an A1000, two A2000 (one has a GVP G-Force 030 EC Combo, 40 MHz), one A500, and one A1200. All the computers except the A1200 are NTSC. I last powered up the A1000 back in 2014. I don't recall using any of the others.

I totally missed the Amiga which is a real shame as I was an early adopter of Jay Miner's second system, the Atari 400/800. I would have loved the Amiga if I had known it existed. Instead I bought an Atari 520ST the first month it was out in the spring of 1985 and upgraded to a 1040ST once it came out. By 1989 I had moved on to a very expensive 386-based PC. It seems that's when the Amiga got going but I guess I wasn't paying attention or the Amiga had little impact here in my corner of Canada. Between the 386, the NES (purchased in 1988 ) and the Genesis (purchased in 1989) my gaming and productivity needs were well satisfied.

So... my current goal is to convert one on my OCS machines to PAL. I'm leaning towards converting the A500. It's got a SupraRAM 500RX with 8MB and an extra 512KB in the trap door. It should make a nice games machine.

Cheers!
