burning disk images with audio

Hi guys, does anyone know how to burn ISO images to a disc along with audio tracks? Not sure why these aren't just packaged into the image but when I burn the disc, I'm unable to tell the disc burning software that the audio files also need to go on. After finalising (automatic) it becomes a moot point.

You need the .cue file. This tells it were all the audio tracks are on the disc.
Without it, you wont get cdda audio.

What program are you using to burn the cd?

Quite often images come with a data ISO plus the audio tracks as wav or mp3.

You need to build a mixed mode cd with the data track as track 1, then the audio tracks after that in order. Should work. I used to use DiscJuggler a lot when doing that for Dreamcast and psx discs. Alcohol and Nero can be used too. And a couple of free burning programs can too.

Just create a mixed mode cd and add the audio as tracks, assuming you have the audio tracks seperate from the iso.

If it does have a cue file with the iso and audio i always use Nero Burner. Its also good for Pc Engine discs because they had data on more than 1 track along with the audio.

Alcohol 120% is much better than Nero at handling cue/bin files. It can even guess the settings if the cue file is missing, and allows you to manually enter settings.

Thnx guys, I have nero 6 which isn't compatible with win7 so I might consider setting it up on the missus' laptop or I'll try alcohol.

Alcohol is always the best choice.

Both for burning CD/DVD and to drink (not pure, in this last case).
