Hi!
I have for sale CMD SuperCPU128 including RAM Board with 16MB RAM.
I know what I'm giving to sell, if it could be my decision - I will never sell it - also know that never again I will own it, but it's only my problem and inside me is crying.
What you get when you buy it:
CMD SuperCPU128 Revision 1B.
MMU for use with Commodore 128 (works also with Commodore 64 and needs MMU not) - works in both modes (native/C64)
RAM Board with 16MB SIMM module
Note: only one thing I want to leave as memories of SCPU is user manual - I can upload it to my website and give link (PDF version)
How it changes your Commodore 128 or Commodore 64:
- 16-bit computer (mode selection between 8 and 16-bit available)
- at 20MHz running CPU WDC 65C816 (possible switch 1/2/20 MHz)
- 24-bit indirect addressing (up to 16MB)
- available mode of registers A,X,Y 16-bit wide
- JiffyDOS (latest version) - also possible to switch off
- warning: when is SCPU turned on it disables access to Z80 and CP/M 3.0 - if you want to use it needs simply switch at power-off computer to disable SCPU (reason for unaccessible Z80 is that WDC 65C816 at power-on takes control over all). I solved it by buying CP/M Cartridge for Commodore 64 and it allows run Z80 inside cartridge also when is SCPU turned on - even you get available Z80, CP/M 2.2 and DOS/65 in C64 mode, in C128 mode new CPU. Even when is SCPU disabled, you have available three CPUs: 8502, Z80 inside C128, Z80 inside cartridge
- warning: when is SCPU turned on, it disables illegal 8502 opcodes, so some demos will not work - reason is that 8-bit mode works as 65C02 - again - possible to turn off
- available compatibility modes, works with GEOS and since I got it (at 2009 was bought) I found not problem
- I can add Metal Dust game on 3,5 FD-2000 or 1581 disks
So, my decision is like knife in heart.
You're sure asking why I'm selling it and price...
I bought it without RAM Board for 1200 EUR.
I bought RAM Board for 800 EUR
Total costs incl. shiping and taxes it was 2200 EUR.
I'm giving not low price, personal problems allows it me not, but if you will want to contact me (only via PM) you must assure me that goes to good hands and don't accept collectors.
Price is 1800 EUR.
Shipping inside EU is 30 EUR, outside I must to calculate.
We can make still deal - if you can offer me anything, or assure me to be sure that in your hands will be ok.
Ok, look at photos, decide and contact me via PM.
