I'm about to order £500+ of various EPROMs, dacs, etc from my supplier in china. I can ask for a price on these and if the price is right, bundle them in with my order.

Will let you know

That's very decent of you fella

I spoke to a few suppliers from China but the Shipping was horrendous considering we were talking 2 small tubes..

Thanks

Exactly. I am already paying the transfer fees and shipping fees. Your chips can get a free ride back to the uk

Trying to find a cheap source for the chip...

AD724JRZ

If anybody wants to help out sourcing it I would be most thankful

Oh & still waiting for some kind person to donate an ST 13 Pin DIN plug

TC :)

I'm sure I've got a couple of 13-pin DINs knocking around somewhere. They're also used on Icom radios for the ACC socket. If I can find them, I'll pop one in the post for you.

Thanks for the updates guys  This is a really interesting project :)

They even mention it being B&W in the manual, stupid idea.

It is a stupid idea but back in the day it didn't bother me. All my parents could afford was a monochrome (green) monitor...

Still to this day it's jarring for a moment to see Workbench boot up in blue.

Hows this project going guys ? :)

Any update on this project fellas? :)

Hiya Taj

Bless you, you really are keen

The prototypes work great and they are stable, I havent found a spare 13 pin plug to confirm atari st operation but in theory it should work.

I have laid out eagle pcb files for a multi system version but dont want to commit without testing all the platforms intended for..

The big issue though my friend is that I am completly skint at the moment and unable to invest in manufacturing costs...

But when I get a windfall :)

TC

Have you managed to get a working adapter setup? If so, is it internal or external?

How is it possible that I've missed this? I was toying around the same idea aound the CXA1145 chip a few years back but I lacked the competence to work on the info I had at hand.

So is it just composite or is there s-video too? I've seen a mod, where s-video was taken out of the CXA1145 of an A1200.

Mate

I have no money
As you have seen I have been selling all my treasured Amiga components :double

If you wish to invest then drop George A a line

I wish I could finish this and produce it as the results are stunning for all platforms.

TC :)

Damn that sucks dude :(Is it a big outlay? Maybe this could be a group buy to help finance it?

Taj me ole mate, I dont think I could take peoples hard earned cash without something solid to send them, its just not me buddy.

If anybody with Eagle software skills wants to help and we can do a single sided board them i'm sure we could diy etch the boards after we create the foil layout..

TC :)

Dudes,

There is a 30€ small board that convert RGB to VGA (with flicker fixxer) and guess what ? It has a composite color output. It was used for CPC and Amiga 500 too. (It was working good for ECS/OCS colours).

Let me the time to find back he greg0 website....
