to all of those wanting stand offs, please read trough this thread for some options.
now i can make these at work but there is a catch! we are flat out at the moment, so what i need is a list of interested parties and how many each person wants, when we get a little quieter i'll see what i can do, so how many stand offs are needed?
cheers, JuvUK
Those spacers are for the A3640 (and almost all accelerators) that plugs on the A3000(T) or A4000(T) accelerator socket.I can use some too. How many would an A4000 D and a A3000T need?
First, take a BIC pen (just the outer case), cut it to the exact right length and put a long enough screw inside, put a suitable screw nut on the other side.
Uhm, might be a stupid thing to point out, but:
Shouldn't the distance be measured of the stops in the spacer, not from the ends?
It should indeed, and I was wondering when someone would bust me for that. Well spotted. I was going to change/update the picture, but the second image I submitted clearly proves that the difference in lengths when comparing one spacer to the other, is due to the spacer length itself, not the retaining 'claw'. Another way of putting it is that the claw lengths are not significantly different, whereas the spacer lengths are.

That's exactly what I did with my CSPPC. Works nicely.First, take a BIC pen (just the outer case), cut it to the exact right length and put a long enough screw inside, put a suitable screw nut on the other side.
Oh and by the way, about these standoffs, you need to heed the following warning:
CPU stand-offs are not all the same length!! It depends on the card, be very careful!

In my case the original A4000T spacers were good for the original A3640 and the Cyberstorm MKII, but not for the PPC card.
