I heared a rumour that a few people on here love curry, lets see.....

Could this lead to an AmiCurry event?

Re: Curry

i like a curry, but i'm a bit of a wuss and don't like 'em too hot

BTW i did hear a gauntlet has been thrown down to Zetr0 by gazuk, is the challenge for the best home made curry accepted? :D

Re: Curry

Whoops forgot to add my vote.

Anyway, bloody love the curry and to be honest I would happily eat any listed. The strangest dish I have had was an Ostrich Jalfrezi from Trowbridge in Wiltshire.

.....And what of this Zetr0 and his curries that you talk about.... :-)

Re: Curry

@gazuk

My homemade Chicken Madras is legendary my friend, My Tandoori Chicken's not bad either

The day Zeet's and I finally meet up will probably be mostly spent discussing ingredients and cooking methods for the best Curry ..........Ever...
Never mind the hackery :woot:

Regards
TC :pint:

Rogan Josh for me.

Kin

Rogan's are great. Sometimes its not all about taking your head off with a Vindi and the Rogan and Jalfrezi are a perfect mix of "nice" spice and ingredients.

Re: Curry

@TC

Imagine what we could do if all 3 of us combined our powers and created 1 "super" curry the likes of which nobody have ever seen or tasted.

We could call it an Amiloo

Re: Curry

Too true Gaz but a chicken Jalfrezi made with real Chilies (not weedy peppers ) is a beautiful concoction to behold indeed.
Even if the morning after it feel's like the whole universe wishes to pass through my ****

TC

PS Gaz register that the name "AmiLoo" now.... you never know when we may need it..

MMM Amiloo........... Inspires images of a classic retr0 spiced dish with individual character and compatibility followed by a big white water filled china fitting bolted to the floor with an echo.........

Re: Curry

I love hot and spicy things, and I don't mean food only, lol ;)

Strangely enough I've never had curry... got any good fools-proof recipes for curry beginners? ;)

Re: Curry

Yes Shoon's buy a plane ticket either to Cardiff or somewhere near King's Lynn :ROTFLOL2:

M8y I'm sure this thread is going to turn into a recipes guide soon...

Edit ----- OMG I just realised this Poll was not started by The Juzzer....

Re: Curry

Now wouldn't that be a bit extreme? ;)
I'll ask my friend in London, maybe he could buy some and send me over here ;)

I know, shocked as _._._._!

Re: Curry

I love a good curry. Have a take away from our local Indian restaurant quite often.

But you haven't included my favourite in the poll. Dhansak. I love Prawn Dhansak. Although Lamb Rogan Josh is very nice too.

Made me very hungry now! Dreaming of lovely Indian food.

Re: Curry

not for me, curry is not a dish i like unfortunately :(

Re: Curry

as long as it's not too hot then bring it on :)

Re: Curry

Not for me thanks, tried one a good few years ago and it didnt play nicely with my internals

Re: Curry

My wife made a curry a few weeks ago and it was probably the hottest curry you have ever tasted. She forgot to mention that when making she didn't think it tasked hot enough so decided to add some curry powder to spice it up a bit more, but slipped and tipped too much in!

You should have seen out faces. We had tears rolling down out faces, sweat pouring from our brows, and continue trips to the kitchen to grab another pint of cold water and another cold beer from the fridge to try and cool our mouths down.

Regardless, it was a still a really nice Green Thai curry.

And that reminded me. Thai curries are actually my favourite over Indian curries. A nice red or green Thai curry with coconut milk, french beans and prawns is lovely.
