It's not PCMCIA, it is slot for Compact Flash cards!
As about to read FAT formatted drives:

counterquestion: where is FAT95 driver located at?
In other words - driver should be installed in Your system and started to be able to operate with such drives.
Once it is done - it should work no matter where it is plugged but here is one "BUT" - currently no multiple media devices are supported! How can You boot when CF Slot is occupied by FAT formatted CF card?

Thanks for the clairification. I am simply wanting a method to transport cardflash cards from my PC to this card. I already have a local IDE hard drive in place as a primary OS. I will try installing the FAT95 driver. Thanks

Best and easiest way to move files between Amiga & PC is a Freeway USB card:

Just grab USB stick and move Your files back and forth at comfortable speed...

I am a bit confused. What do you mean by "no multiple media devices are supported"? In the CF slot or at all? ...because I have a DOM plugged into the IDE-Port as master (and formatted as Amiga drive (PFS3)) and a CF-Card in the CF slolt als slave, formatted as FAT using FAT95. This setup works actually fine: Both media, the DOM and the CF are recognized and allow me to use the FAT formatted card for file transfer after the Amiga has booted from the DOM. For reference: I'm using LIDE driver on OLGA. Is that what makes the difference? Or did I misunderstand the meaning of your statment? One caveat, by the way: I never did hot swap the CF, but just turned off the Amiga every time I swap the CF card - better safe than sorry ;-)

Yes, the new LIDE BootROM from @LIV2 was the Gamechanger, until it popped out from nowhere we needed to use Oktapussy BootROM, and it has some limitations like no 128GB drive support, no CD-ROM support, no multiple drive support etc...

For reference:
- Matt is still working on some improvements, so check his GitHub page and update Your ROM from time to time to get the best performance:

I did - it works without any issues, but the stock CPU need to be removed - so no fallback mode!
Also there may be potentially some problems now because of the new BootROM!
Janus is looking for SCSI.device to be able to opate the HDD area where the software is installed. Now this is a problem because new BootROM has a different name: lide.device..
so if You plan to use Fat Olga with A2286 (or any other Bridgeboard card) You have following possibilities:
1. use Oktapussy BootROM (it has proper device name SCSI.device but some other restrictions) or
2. Use some hardware that Janus can operate.. XT-CF Lite for example...
