This accelerator has 68882? That I see the sysinfo.

The EC cpu has no mmu, is it?

According to wiki: The 68EC030 is a low cost version of the 68030, the difference between the two being that the 68EC030 omits the on-chip memory management unit (MMU) and is thus essentially an upgraded 68020.

Personally I'm interested purely for the FPU, so i can get back in to rendering on my Amiga :) What I'd really like to know is whether I can just pop my 020TK out and stick the new 030TK in or if there's anything else I need to do, such as replace my PSU, recap my A500. Does it run any warmer than the 020TK?

Viktor was on holiday, but checking back through my inbox. He was on his way back home on the 7th of August, so I can only assume something has occurred in the mean time. I hope he’s ok.

Hello Djcook,

I'm interested in 2 of your megachip friendly cpu relocators. There is no thread for relocators so I am asking on this thread.

Thank you

I don't exactly know the rules, but if we don't hear back from Djcook soon. This thread might have to be considered as inactive or closed, as nobody seems to have heard anything from Viktor for some time :-(

Hello Viktor, please could You tell us about progress? Are You going to produce 68030 TK and 64MB RAM cards according to first post, or should we look for another accelerators elsewhere? Hope You are OK.
Thank You.
With Best regards

I already got my upgrade 3 weeks ago but with the 3d printed cover on the connector the keyboard does not fit. A new relocater is needed. I emaild him 3 weeks ago but no response.
He is active on the forum but not in this thread. So Its nice the 64MB upgrade works perfect but I can not use it with a keyboard installed.

Could it be filed down or ground down with a Dremel tool to fit? Do you have a 68000 socket adapter that you put the accelerator in to protect the socket on the motherboard? Just wondering about the circumstances. Thanks

You can but its far for a need solution.

Excellent pics thank you Voyager. Yeah. Lower profile protector or a relocator that moves the unit to the rear more would be needed (or abandon the protector and use electrical tape then adhesive tinfoil but I know this is about making the protector work) thanks for the info

I have yet to hear back from Viktor as well. I have the 020TK. I know he’s read my messages, but chosen not to respond for whatever reason. I have to say this is really not like him. I might have to go the Terriblefire route if I hear nothing soon, which I didn’t want to as most of them don’t have an idea FPU. I think one of them does, but only comes with 4mb Ram, which for Lightwave is very restrictive.

I did hear from him about the re-locator after sending 2 e-mails. It seems that the DJbase Amiga500 CPU re-locator V4 will do the job, but I need to order a minimum of 5 from PCB way.
He does not provide any of it. (it's nice sending out upgrades that you can not use)

I am also done with the way this going. He is active on the forum but ignores what is going on here. (not the first time) This behaviour is unacceptable.
Its sad to say but at this moment Victor is no longer a reliable seller on Amibay and this topic should be locked.

@Hiddenevil: I think that the Terriblefire route is your only way at this moment. I have the TF536. It does not have the nice HDD interface that he TK68030 has and no co-pro but
it works very good.

Agreed, Viktor has always been good at replying and answering questions. I asked him about the power requirements of the new 030 board, but he never replied. Even though I could see my messages had been read, it takes bog all effort to response. Even if it's to say, "busy at the mo, leave it with me."

I was specifically after a card that had FPU and a generous amount of ram..The terrible fire has decent MIPS, decent ram. Just no FPU. I guess that will have to do, the 020 card I have is nice, but a bit sluggish. Plus the maprom feature doesn't work and Viktor hasn't answered any of my questions about why it doesn't work as he says it should.
