Hi, I succesfully upated CPLD Xilinx to version 0.8, maprom status shows "firmware version =0008".
I tried to program the flash rom 29F040B by using lideflash and the 512kb file as uploaded in previous post. Upon running "lideflash -I lide-atbus.rom_512k.rom" I get the message that file is too large. Tried to boot with the adf provided at github. It seems that lideflash does not "see" olga since I get the message "No IDE board(s) found". Same message is produced also when I try to run lideflash with the file lide.rom (I know it is not the correct one for 29F040B) from shell after booting to Workbench. So when using correct file, the file is supposed to be too large. When using initial 32k file Olga is not recognised. Probably since Olga is not recognised lideflash does not know the Flash rom size, thus the file too large error message. Any help or suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you Olga team.

I removed the Boot ROM from it's socket and programmed it using my TL866-II Plus Programmer with the 32 PLCC Adapter. Went without a hitch. This is the only option at the moment.

I removed the Boot ROM from it's socket and programmed it using my TL866-II Plus Programmer with the 32 PLCC Adapter. Went without a hitch. This is the only option at the moment.

I will probably do the same with my Willem programmer. It supports 29F040, trying to figure if it is compatible regarding programming with 29F040B. I have to do some reading ;-)

Programmed new 27040C with Willem with no problem at all. It works fine with Olga. Any one else noticed the max CF hard disk speed with Waitstate 1 on Maprom has dropped from 9Mb/S to about 5Mb/S with new Lide Boot rom version? By the way I would like to express my thanks to Olga team and Lide creator for their great work.

Nope, there shouldn't be any speed drop-downs, Matt was fixing SCSI-2 emulation which is needed for MakeCD and PlayCD to work properly, nothing else than that as much I am aware... Can You confirm by rolling back to 40.5?
