Let me introduce You a new A2000 full size accelerator card - Dicke Olga
- the fastest 030 DIY accelerator for A2000 Amiga computers Made in Germany!
What is it and what can this card?
This is a 100% hobbyist project started in 2019 with the amazing 68030TK accelerator card from Matze and two German computer enthusiasts: hamag and 8 Bit Dreams. Matze gave us some ideas and hints where to start and wrote his excellent cpld code for this card, Hamag done Hardware design and routing, and 8 Bit Dreams was busy with building prototypes. We really like Commodore A2000 model and have been working hard to make it more comfortable in daily use. Every person involved did their job to the best of their ability, so, after some attempts and failures, the first prototypes of this card were built and shown on A1k Forum - forum users gave that card a name and so „Dicke Olga“ (Fat Olga) was born.
This card has undergone a number of improvements and now we are proud to present it to you. We really hope You will enjoy using it!

Why Dicke Olga!?
Well, Dicke Olga is actually a north German woman You don't wanna meet in Your life:
she is big, powerful, uncompromising and unrepentant...
just like this card is..!

CPU: MC68030 or 68EC030, clocked at 25 - 60MHz
FPU: 68881 / 68882 PLCC 25 - 60MHz, may run asynchronous to CPU (with its own oscillator)
Has MapROM function (KS 1.3 is not supported!)
FastRAM: may have 64 or 128MB
BootROM: LIDE bootrom from Matt Harlum
IDE: 40pin, 44pin CF Slot
SATA & M.2 (B-KEY2280)
(default speed is about 7 - 8MB/s, may be tweaked by reducing Waitstates up to 11MB/s with MapROM Tool
2x Clockports (1x Fast Clockport, 1x Standard A1200 Clockport)
68000 Fallback mode (stock CPU + IDE + 4MB FastRAM)
Flexible CPU & FPU MHz and other settings etc..

*60Mhz is not officially supported because there are no native 60Mhz MC68030 CPUs.
Many CPUs still run stable at 60Mhz, this must be tested though, we don’t take any responsibility for damage caused by overclocking! Do it on Your own risk!

System requirements:
Kickstart 3.1 or greater (KS1.3 will fail because of the memory Adress space!)
An A2000 Computer or (also fits in EATX Board) an Early A2000 Braunschweig Model *(no Fallback mode available on this model!)
BUS Fixes released by Commodore are recommended to reach full 60MHz speed!
compatibility with other Zorro cards:
this accelerator do correct config in/out, it was tested with wide range of Zorro cards like:
Freeway USB, Picasso ll, Picasso lV, GBAPII++, Prelude ll, Amiblaster, LAN-IDE etc. - these are working without any issues..
Please keep in mind - we've done tests only with the cards we own, it is although possible that some cards isn't working properly - it's Amiga after all!!!
Known issues:
Some CF Card brands doesn't work
Fallback doesn't work if 030 CPU Frequency is set to 30MHz

FAQ:
Q: i’ve installed accelerator card but display remails black, did i received broken card?
A: before Your card goes on its way - it needs to pass several tests. Following tests are obligatory for each built card:
1. 68030/68000 functional test
2. several rounds of full memory range scan (Amiga Test Kit),
3. Povray rendering test (2h rendering test, to be sure CPU works as it should),
4. IDE connections & CF Slot
5. Clockport 1 & Clockport2 tests are also done.
Card will be shipped
only if it passed all of them, so probably there is something else - 68k cpu is missing? wrong position of BSW jumper?
Q: seems my CF card isn’t recognized
A: try other brand CF – some cards just didn’t work (Transcend, for example a known to fail, also some bigger cards (32GB) doesn’t work) Also please check Autoboot switch/jumper position!
Q: ide speed seems to be slow, why?
A: first of all – check blocksize, we recommend to use 4096. Second option would be to use MapTool (see apropriate section in manual)
Q: My card isn’t working @60MHz!!!
A: Well, theoretically it should – all cards purchased with CPU - have passed 60MHz tests, however, it depends on many other factors. Such as correct voltage, (Commodore recommended) fixes, load on the bus, installed Zorro cards, corrosion of the tracks/sockets, battery leakage… Also additional power connector (floppy power connector beneath CF Slot) may be used to get 60MHz stable to work.. Because of all that - card (with CPU) purchased from officials will run quaranteed at 50MHz. 60MHz if You are lucky enough..
Q: Will this card ever be upgraded to 256 or 512 MB RAM?
A: Well, technically it’s posssible, but there was no plans to do it!
Q: Will there be more supported frequencies in the future?
A: The frequency is tied to installed 10MHz clock oszillator, but You can also use 50% frequency jumper (and reach 25MHz by setting 50Mhz/2=25MHz as example)
Q: Will feature XY (sound, graphics, USB, PCI-Express) be added in future revisions?
A: Most probably not. The creator of the card adheres to the principle: "Keep it simple, keep it workable."
Q: i don’t want to spend my money on that card, i own all necessary tools, and can solder it by myself, where can i download gerbers?
A: Well, You can’t get gerbers right now – these are not released atm. However, we don’t wanna stop someone from building that card – so You can get an empty PCB on A1k.org at a cost + small fee for the creators (so they can continue to work on improvements of that card) and go this interesting journey by yourself.
Q: can i do firmware update at home?
A: yes, all firmwares are available for download, You can do updates at home, but You need Lattice and Xilinx JTAG Programmers to be able to do this.
Q: i don’t want a 030 CPU card, and rather wait for 060, will it be released?
A: 040/060 CPU accelerator isn’t planned so far.
