EA Games rant

I don't have much problems with EA games, but then again I am backup'ed by a 120Mbit connection, most of the time 5MB/sec flatout.

I could help, if at all possible, but I don't know how this will work once I download it, i don't have BF3 Premium yet.
 
And as a footnote to that. Many parts of the world where there are plenty of gamers are still on dial up or have similar extremely poor connection technologies in comparison to even standard ADSL here in the UK.
That's what really kills me about it - you don't even have to go outside first-world countries to find this, there's people I know right outside my hometown who are unable to get anything but extremely shoddy dial-up service because the phone company doesn't think it would be cost-effective to upgrade the wiring to DSL quality in their neck o' the woods. This isn't rural Montana, this is maybe fifteen miles off a border-to-border interstate freeway! Yet game companies don't give a crap, because online updates mean they don't have to ship a working product anymore...
