Do I put England or United Kingdom or Either?

Please let me know As soon as possible:thumbsup:

This what I put

ENGLAND(UK)

or

Should I put this

UK (ENGLAND)

I normally just put United Kingdom.

I think the International Standard for country identification classes us as UK, yet for example our car stickers for driving on holiday are GB.

On a related thought we do not put Great Britain on addresses? Why did UK become the norm?

I thought this was going to a political discussion about being British but thankfully just about postage :)

I have confused myself now :)

I always put England, as the UK and GB are not countries they are a union of countries. I never say i'm British or live in Britain either, Scotland Wales and Ireland all prefer their own national identity and so do I, when asked i'm English and I refuse to tick any box to say i'm British on forms as well I write down i'm English :)
