Right now. Stachu has sent back my upgraded 1260.
It is now a 72MHz Blizzard 1260.
xxx euros I paid for the card
xxx euros I paid for the upgrading
xx euros I paid for postage sending the card to stachu and back
xx euros was the cost of special 128MB 50ns RAM.
And that´s just one turbo card. He also upgraded my BPPC at the same time.
The bppc came practically free with a tower Amiga (!)
xxx for upgrading from 040 to 060
xxx for upgrading from 175MHz to 330MHz
xx for postage to Stachu and back
twice xx euros for 2x128MB special 50ns RAM (I am not sure if this card even needs those or if it could work with cheaper 60ns RAM)
But that´s still xxxx euros for a couple of turbo cards.
I think I have a problem. (btw I do *not* consider Stachu´s service expensive. He does such a rare and special thing with these cards, I almost feel like stealing his time at the rates he charges for these cpu changes and the cpus themselves are included.)

Well the fact that I am single, and got quite a reasonable salary, I can afford all of it.
But I have managed to put a stop to it, at least the big stuff, I still buy some small things like cards and accelerators, but no Amiga's it self.
The only one left is the 3500, but that will almost be impossible I guess.
I guess you can break the addiction once you have it all, it's not possible to quit all together, well, if you sell it all.
But once you have Amiga's, they need upgrades and repairs.
Once that's done, installing it with games and demos is the final step, which I am in now.
True, if the new things of Jens come, I will get a few of them, I like to support new products and happily pay whatever they cost if it's reasonable.

About a year ago i have found st-freakz on web and I bought "back" my ATARI STE with 4MB, cables for tv, for VGA, mouse. Once the STE arrived I tested it, and I wrapped it carefully and I stored and NEVER touch it :nuts:... I feel great.. this will be alive eternaly.. no battery, cpacitors should be new (refurbished)...
...then I missed my 1200/030 (thanks god I got it back ~6months ago from my cousin, to whom I had given my a1200 as a present 1999, but he belonged already to the "psx-pentium-generation", and he gave it back when I asked it

I bought for my Amiga, CF, CF2PCMCIA, CFs, PS mouse adaptors, 2 old fashioned joysticks made of steel, bought my whdload license, AND today I got my new 300PSU and my Indivision AGA! I play sometimes, I like it...
Now I feel "complete", especially when a mate told me that my blizzard MKIV has a battery that DOESNT leak...SO IT WILL BE ALIVE ETERNALY... (i dont mind yellowing) BUT..
BUT...
....BUT now, regardless the fine looking motherboard, i see nightmares that my capacitors destroy my whole amiga!:double:double
and... oops as long as I write these words.. i have another tab of amibay opened... and I think... I like that A600 (btw I always hated the A600s), but now they look so compact, so pretty, sooooo GREAT with indivision ECS and ACA630! STOP STOP... I prefer to have nightmares with leaking capacitors!!! :nuts::nuts:

When you get enough, your just always one project away from that goal at any time.
have no idea what this has cost me. probably less than car ownership in the same timeframe, some weekends partying or any other more well respected (amongst the other sex) way of spending cash.

Guys, I have a solution for you. Buy an old house and get some kids. You don't have to worry about spending money on old computers.
