Krikzz has informed me that there will be 3 packages overall. 1 has been sent containing the MDs as stated previously. The next one will be sent tomorrow. The last one will be sent sometime shortly after.

Perhaps you could put the very latest info at the top of the 1st post, like when the packages were posted and how long it's expected to take?

Just an idea, it would save people going back over previous pages to find your updates.

I doubt there will be 'pages' added between the update and their arrival to be honest. Well, unless poeple keep posting suggestions to get around pages being added that is... :picard

In all fairness, I really couldn't say exactly when they're expected anyway. Krikzz told me up to 2 weeks from posting is normal. The 3 parcels were each posted about 3 days apart from each other and this is if we have no issues with delays in handling between the Ukraine and here. Putting expected dates on will just raise concern for people if they're delayed for any reason.

The last of the parcels was posted on the 9th so we're likely looking at the 25th before they're ALL here at the earliest. The Megadrive ones should get here before that though, but that is provided there are no hold-ups.

Thanks for keeping us all updated. Looking forward to powering up the old Mega Drive with some games I've always wanted to play... its like Christmas!

erm amineo was there no way for you to collect them directly from krikzz

ryanair or easyjet :)

And here come the pages... :double

Please talk about this stuff in the Everdrive General chat thread guys. It's what it was setup for after all

He doesnt have them now either so that'd be a wasted journey :p

I've been reading up... just found out that the everdive needs the ROMS to be in .bin format, however there is a tool that converts .smd ROMs to .bin here:

http://krikzz.com/pub/support/everdrive-md/smd-to-bin.zip

I recommend getting them ready before the Everdrives arrive :D

Just place the .exe in the same folder as the .smd files and run the program.

Note: You will need them unzipped.

Also when seperating your ROMs into folders you will need to store them in folders with no more than 250 in each or it will not see the rest. I recommend maybe storing them in alphabetical folders.

What about for the n64 and snes versions? Any similar restrictions on folder size and filetype? And also are there any naming restrictions?

No, only md roms come in those two varieties. No filename restrictions, but not all of long filenames will be shown.

Haven't found anything mentioning SNES or N64 Roms not working aside from region issues. Some SNES games like Donkey Kong Country are region fussy in spite of the Multiregion CIC on the SNES carts and the N64 stuff is going to be based on whatever CIC you have on it.

Aside from that there doesn't appear to be much more info out there everyone seems very happy with them.

As for filenames, call them whatever you like. All the youtube vids I've seen show the filenames exactly as they are on the files themselves. Anything over 20 or so characters long just won't fit on the screen lol.

I was a little excited when I ordered the Everdrive 64, if anyone is interested in buying my reserved unit at cost then please let me know as I don't see myself using it. I have a huge stack of N64 carts already lol.

I ordered:

1x Everdrive 64 (v2) + CIC @ $91.88 USD

@AmiNeo

That's assuming you're happy for me to transfer my place to someone else? It would just mean you posting to a different address, they would pay me for the unit and you for the P&P

Cheers :)

Steve.
