My Game Gear Everdrive arrived this morning, although I forget to get a 2GB Micro SD card to put in it.

It seems to be a bit hit and miss. Yep i found street fighter II worked ok with the ntsc version but super mario all stars gives the region lock out screen.
Similar probs with megadrive, some jap games mixed in amongst roms won't work

Strictly speaking it's not the region mod that you need done - it's the 50/60Hz switch that you need (and Japanese/English language switch on the megadrive) if you want to increase compatibility - some games check to see if the console is running at the right speed (or in the right language) to match the game.

For example, the NTSC version of Mario All-Stars will display the error screen if it detects that the console is running at 50Hz, even if it happens to be a 50Hz modded American console.

Getting a "Init error 50" on the N64 one
The thing works if a button is pressed.
Then if I reset it asks for the OS64.v64 file in the ED64 folder.
This has been done and it still asks for it
