I think I already know the answer but I just wanted to ask anyway about a faulty hard drive I have.

I did a full system stress test tonight because I was just curious on why my system have had so many problems over the past few months.

Everything went great until I found this on Ubuntu

Is this the the main cause of all my stress ... a messed up hard drive ???

Could this be the main problem of my OS's failing as well ?

if your harddrive is faulty and your os is on that harddrive then.........you already know the answer.

its the same for any os on any harddrive, well almost.

i have an aspire one with 160gb with win xp and occasionally stop, i have installed xubuntu on sub-key adn work fine, then tested the hd on my fixed pc with easyus and at 50% found many error, i resized the hd, created 3 partitions, format and reinstalle xpform partition ghost, now work fine

thanks for the help I just binned the hard drive and iw ill get a ssd for my OS in the next few months. I have a 400GB ide drive here thats fully working (I did the check on it) so I will be installing a new Os very soon.

I cant be doing this every week because of the videos I make. I need a stable OS and having faulty hard drives I will not put up with.

On brief inspection it looks like that hard drive is on its way to silicon heaven. You know, that place where all the calculators go... ;)
