That is awesome well done sir :bowdown:

Keep it up honestly, I would like to buy something like this for my A600; an immediate application for me if you could get nearer 9mips would be the PC version of BASS running on SCUMM ECS.

But let that take nothing away from what you have achieved already, it is quite simply awesome :bowdown:

Mighty impressive

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thank you. But I think if I could solve some problems I could go way, way more than 9Mips we will see :)

Credit where it is due - well done :bowdown:

Just enjoy the journey - you'll get there when you get there :thumbsup:

PS - The Natami core would be awesome if you could pinch that!!! :D

For those that haven't clicked the link - I believe 14mips from a A600 has been achieved :wooha::D:D

SCUMM ECS suddenly becomes a practical option for games of the BASS era onwards up to maybe DOTT?:wooha::D

Incredible :bowdown:

My friend, I am completely enthralled by your journey with this adaptor and I would like to support such inventions. However I must insist that you create a new thread in the Sale section with this product.

Please include a price or atleast an expected price in your sale thread.

If you need any help, please don't hesitate to ask, it would be my pleasure to assist.

Yes i was thinking the same and reading forum rules but I was afraid that I can't do that so I placed it here. Also when I entered into Amiga scene my old desire my only goal was to change amiga scene and bring something innovative and never seen before. Just wait I m planing to stay and you will see what I will build next. You may be surprised. Let me say only this, I have created fastest A600 ever, A500 with Vampire 500 is now close to become fastest A500. Next logical thing,maybe, fastest A1200 we will see. Just to buy one since again I must say never worked on it or seen one :)

if he going make it for A1200 and just imaging if he make it on 060 or 070 speed when come Aircraft games :wooha::cool:

Is Amiga 600 FPGA accelerator going be 75MHZ and if that is true then it going faster than my Amiga 1200 56MHZ!

@sysop
There shouldn't be problems with any additional hardware. I have tested for now various PCMCIA cards, wireless etc... And all of them working fine. I don't see any particular reason why trapdoor chip ram expansion don't work.

@Amiga Forever
Card is now running at 100MHz it is quite complex to explain how it works and I have published about 50 papers describing what is inside. So many papers that any engineer can assembly his own card with provided info. This card is only begging because I have no idea how much we can get regarding performance. What I want now to produce board with basic performance about 6 Mips because they are stable but I m certain that soon enough you will have firmware upgrade with doubled performance.

@ Amiga Forever it is not important how much MHz we have it is all about cache. It is complex to explain but in this concept MHz are no so important. For example you can accomplish 3mips, 6 or 8 or 14 on 100MHz and all of that depends on cache. Few of my tests was at 87.5MHz and I was also able to accomplish various performance. So on this image you can see what was the pest performance I have accomplished so maybe with few more testings we will have those performance stable with new firmware upgrade. So to compare this to any other A600 accelerator is not an option. There is nothing to compare and this test proved that this was fastest test ever performed on Amiga 600. Just if you cold notice on the right side of image number two SysInfo detects about 79MHz and actually all of this was done on 87.5MHz. Also don't look at the slow speed of chip ram those was old tests now is faster about 2.67 times.

Do you think that with this FPGA you will be able to emulate a 68030 to be able to use all the 64MB ram? I think that 68000 and 68010 (and I don't know about the 68020 but I think is the same) can only address 16 MB, is that right?

With 14 MIPS it seems you are close to a 68030 at 40-50 MHZ...:cool:

Have you had compatibility issues?

Hi :) It is not important here what CPU I use because all of them are 31 downto 1 so to any of them can be attached any memory size up to 1.5GB. I will publish one day prove for everyone to see how workbench of A600 look like with 1.5GB of FastRam :) So there shouldn't be problems there. Regarding compatibility I have started Zeewolf2 and that game is so complex so i think anything will work but if you have some specific program or game to check please write here and I will try to find some time to test it. So far I was able to surf with Vampire600 using wireless card and WPA2 encryption, IBrowse,Aweb and Voyager. Also played some old games from A500, also Worms and such and didn't see any problems. I have published number of videos and you can find them on my site. You see those tests 14.34Mips are just beginning, just initial tests for some specific cache but since I didn't have the time to test all of that I don't want to put that performance in production. Like I said we will start small at 6Mips and you can expect much more in future. Maybe you will not get boards at that performance at all. Maybe in process of waiting boards to arrive I will increase performance more.

Close, but no cigar: the full 68020 have the very same memory addressing capabilities of the 68030.

The EC020 performs like the 000/010 at this point as it only address up to 16Mb.
