Does OS4.x run on these accelerator cards?
No, these are not PPC cards.
Where can i read about new software written for V II?
There is not much out yet, RIVA AMMX is under development and some other apps e.g. Netsurf have been compiled without FPU to work with the current Apollo core of the Vampire which doesn't yet have an active FPU. Further work on drivers, games, tools and applications would be very welcome but for now it's mostly a speed boost for existing software.
Does anybody knows why V II cards for A500 are more expensive than for an A600? I can not imagine how much A1200 V II will be...and finally A4000?
thanks,

-Cook
Apparently the V500V2+ uses different level shifters to support the high speed IDE. The CPU connection, IDE header and expansion header may also account for some of the extra cost. There may be other costs and reasons I'm not aware of.

When I got back home last Friday from a 2-week long trip for Christmas, I found a Vampire 600 v2 which had been delivered in my absence! There was still some flux residue on the card so I cleaned it off with flux remover to make it shiny, then popped out the Furia and installed the Vampire. It definitely speeds things up! The patched SysInfo v4.0 reports about 110 MIPS. I need to try out some 3D games. But first, I bought a 16GB micrSD card and I need to get that setup as a secondary drive.

One thing that I noticed on the card that I received, there's no serial number. Only a sticker on the MicroSD slot which says "BBK". Anyone know what this means?

Thanks to Apollo Team! I'm really excited to have this card.

Got mine between Christmas and New Year.
Very happy with everything so far, just wish the A600 IDE was faster as its the only bottleneck now. Perhaps SD slot will get round this later in development.

My card also has "BBK" on the sticker too. perhaps it means Build By Klingons :)

I got my card also last week. Just to tell everyone else, I waited about 9 months on the card.

Unfortunately I had to pay another 70 euros VAT when it arrived, thus making the card really expensive now.

But hell, its here finally.

I waited more than one year on my card but it was worth the wait. :)
Regarding the customs fee, that is to be expected if you live in EU since the cards are shipped from outside EU. I lucked out on my board as they didn't charge me anything but they very well could have..

Where can this netsurf be obtained? I trued with the latest from amibag last night with little success.

I paid no VAT at all, just the 150e from the preorder. I live in Friesland too :)

Any news about the progress in manufacture ? How big is the queue? Orders from what place in time are currently in shipping? Manufacture ? ETC ?

Hello all, my first post - just joined, though I've been a passive visitor for many months. I will post a proper hello in the appropriate thread. First of all, what a fantastic community you have here and what you guys are doing developing the Amiga.

I put my name down in the queue for an A600 Vampire early October last year. I'm really quite happy and happy to wait as long as it takes, I just want to gauge my position in the queue through how long others have waited. Trust me if it takes 12 months I will wait - no problem, I just don't want to be one of those poor souls who has been uncontactable.

Anyway its great to see so many happy people with a revitalised Amiga.

Same question here, happy to wait as long as it takes for such a great product... I put my name down for the Vampire 600 in October 2016, but I don't have any sense of the waiting time. I'm also interested in the Vampire 1200 if / when it comes out, will be pre-ordering one of those as soon as possible. Do we have any way of knowing where we are in the queue?

so had the email for vampire 2 black edition, made payment, also sent an email. know these guys are busy and it'll come but should i expect a confirmation email? paid via PayPal in full last tues 18/4/17. cheers all.

Same boat here for the A600 version, paid on March the 26th and heard absolutely nothing since...

same here, paid on March, received the vague notification about shipment without tracking number. No answer to my email requesting tracking number.

I am sure and positive the card will arrive, but it would be reassuring to obtain the tracking number straight away after the shipment.

as above - no doubt it'll come.and i know they are busy but an email would be handy to double check payment and address etc. but knew this before i ordered so can complain!
will be a nice surprise when it turns up out the blue. will be pleased to see a post here when somebody gets one from this recent batch i.e. black. will help give others a timescale.

I expressed my interest 5/25/16, and received email in November saying my board was allocated and to email for payment info. I emailed Kipper but never heard back. I emailed again a couple times but still no response. I even hit him up on IRC a couple of times and he said he would send me payment info but never did.

I know these guys are busy, and I'm a huge fan of what they are doing, but now that they have manufacturing taken care of I hope they figure out distribution. I ended up withdrawing my interest from he web site today since I was stuck out in limbo anyway. Not sure if there's another method to buy one.

I paid for mine on the 26th of March and it arrived yesterday.
I had been emailing Igor because shipping seemed to be taking a long time and he said it could take a while to get here, it had no tracking just a delivery notification.
