Hi Mr Donkey!

It's a Toshiba 19AV713B which is 19in HD LCD TV, the Amiga is connected via RGB-Scart

It also flicker fixes interlaced modes and works with my RTG Amiga's via VGA input and works great with CGX4 for easy setup of 1360x768 for example on my CVision.

Also supports the Indi MkII over HDMI, in PAL/NTSC the image is to the right slightly but that don't matter as it's a wide screen set.

So overall a great TV for your miggy's and colsoles (even Compo****e looks good on it)

There's no S-Video though which is a shame.

Oh and I'm pretty sure it's available in white

your going have to get a bigger desk have you seen the size of the things that plug in the side of the A1000, also the keyboard gose under her not on top hehehehe but I know u already know that

I got some more zips to upgrade the Supra to 8mb

Just need to get round to reading the manual again for Jumper settings...

Indeed, I love the way the Keyboard slides underneath, she's only here for testing I'll find a home for her setup somewhere

No probs, I bought mine ex display from a seller on eBay

Also I've had a few Toshibsa's and they've always worked perfect with Miggy's so other models should be fine.

No plans to create a Monster though, I want to try and keep this as visually true to original as possible, I'm hoping to fit some kind of upgrade internally but I know space is limited.

For now I've managed to upgrade the Ram on my Supra Ram to 8mb with some extra Zips I bought

congrats on your A1000 as she looks clean & happy. I'm in the same boat and just waiting for my NTSC Amiga 1000 to arrive from the U.S and hopefully will be cleaning her up soon once my basement office is ready to grace her presence

Way to go, Steve! The A1000 really is original and unique. None of the following models quite have the same feeling.

Have you planned to open the case and take a better look of the disk drive? My A1200 floppy had also suffered a bit of damage in transit, making the disk hard to insert but I was able to fix that. Does the A1000 have the same Chinon FB-354 as the A500 and A2000?

It should, the interface logic seems to be on the motherboard just like on the A500 and A2000.
The A1011 drive (probably the A1010 too?) uses a special version of the FB-354 with a modified PCB that incorporates that logic, so no other adapter board is required. Those have a 26-pin connector that matches the Amiga's external drive port, instead of the traditional 34-pin connector of "plain" drives.

The A1000 internal floppy is actually the Panasonic JU-363-03. At least in all the NTSC units i have..

Hi Ya'll!

As promised it's time to strip the A1000 down and check out the inside this little fella!

First the screws have to come out! And boy the A1000 has a lot of screws

Inside is remarkably clean, this is before any cleaning!

Remove the Ram upgrade to get access to remove the facia

Facia removed carefully, this will need a clean...

Top shield removed and dusted!

And now for a quick peek inside

Floppy drive removed!

Next job install Kippers 8mb Ram upgrade

And carefully refit the CPU

Sadly as was discovered in another thread the Ram upgrade although fits blocks the connector for the A1000 floppy drive

I'm now considering what option to take, HxC Floppy Emulator maybe?

But of course, needs to be tested first!

We were talking about this earlier on EAB in the Zeus thread.

What's really needed here is a simple board that shifts the 68000 socket down about an inch. That woulod give compatibility with a much wider range of A500 socket add-ons.

Thanks, I just read the last post.

I think with the zeus having IDE it really wont be a big deal about the floppy drive, I can just terminate it and use an external FDD if I need to read one

worst case scenario is soldering the wires directly to the drive pins with some quick connect switches.....wondering if I should hack up my A1000 to get that lovely 8MB in my A1000

How about a modern floppy drive converted to Amiga use resting on higher legs? You'd probably need to remove the hinged gate of the drive and modify the top cover to fit the A1000 fascia but that might just do it.
