A1200 Accelerator, atleast 68030 inc. FPU preferably, as much ram as possible.

Ideally would like one that is PCMCIA friendly, but if not then it MUST be able to be switched off via a boot method.

Also, would prefer one that fits inside the standard A1200 chassis, would rather not upgrade to a tower yet.

Thanks

Gavilian, thanks for your offers but I've decided to do a deal with SJBUK, bit more expensive but I was put off a little by the maximum expansion ram capacity of the boards you have I wanted.

So, thanks a lot, first time on Amibay a seeming success :drinkin:

Excellent choice!

Little secret: i i were you, i would have chosen same card :ROTFLOL2:
Blizzards are the King of accels on A1200 (in my humble opinion)

Anyway, good luck with your new card, and have plenty of fun with it!!

Re: WTB: A1200 Accelerator

Got quite a large box of goodies from amigakit this morning (new keyboard, new mouse, OS discs, new psu, 4gb Cf/ide hdd).

All set up with the accelerator, working perfectly. Only issue I've got is the amount of heat the chip kicks out, after a bit it can actually burn my finger if i've been playing whdloaded 3d games :flamethrower:

Not a fault as such, it's perfectly stable. Might try and get a diddy heatsink for it, just left the trapdoor cover off for the moment.

All the best, and thanks again :thumbsup2:

Ow K.

Time to close the thread, then.

@dire_wolf: try measure the +5V line on the accelerator side: grab a spot on the positive side of an electrolytic capacitor, it must be on the 4.85 to 5.2V range.

If too over or under this the board will heat a lot. For under voltage, clean the accelerator edge on the Amiga. For over voltage, return the PSU and ask for another one.

68030 @50MHz heats, but not enough for burning anyone's fingers.

@ALL: remember to leave feedback to each other.
