An example of the anodized black front panel. I don’t know why there is still missing text and symbols. I have asked them to clarify.

Received mine too and it looks awesome. Thanks again.

Now i am ashamed of my midly yellow keyboard. You must do an aluminium keyboard case to match ;)
I agree, an A4000 aluminium keyboard case would be great.

Someone already created an A4000 kb case as a model for 3D printing here:

Basically, 3D printing does not only work with resin, but also with aluminium or titanium. On this website you can upload 3D models for printing in many materials:

However, uploading the 3D model of the keybaord in sketchup-format does not work at i.materialse.com, but I think 3D models can be converted into a format that works on that website.

Keyboard case would be amazing… I’d take a black and a RAL one for sure!

But I imagine quite tricky to get bang on with the various standoffs etc.

@crtrlbreak I think the 3D model of the A4000 keyboard I found at 3D warehouse is surely not ready yet for 3D printing in its sketchup-format. We cannot see the upper and lower half separately yet and what the case looks like from inside.
Finally, it should be able to contain a real Amiga keyboard.

We need to find someone here with experience in printing 3D models and who can help further here, create a file ready for us to upload at "i.materialise.com", so that we can have the A4000 kb-case parts printed in e. g. in aluminium there.

And it looks like anyone can order a 3D printed object at i.materialise.com not only companies. One working 3D model file for upload should show a price immediately.

That's indeed a lot of money!

May I ask why you would need that?
Would you need the knob as well?

I can ship you an extra power rod if needed.

Because I have no original case as donor. 100% brand new build. Your fascia, covers, button, and reproduction sheetmetal case also from Amibay combined with ReAmiga motherboard, daughterboard, and BFG. Nothing original except custom chips of course. :) That’s the great thing about this community. Soo many awesome projects. I never saw an actual Amiga in the 90’s, only saw them in magazines but got into them about 4 years ago and here u am building machines.

@PRS I think the discussion about the power rod started, because I wanted to discuss the Idea of having an A4000 keyboard case 3D printed - because I.materialise.com offers 3D printing even in aluminium.
So, user qz3fwd surely uploaded a 3D model of a power rod there to check their prices .

What do you think about creating a new project on a new A4000 keyboard case made of aluminium - either 3D printed or using a standard production method?

Btw, your A4000 front panel of aluminium looks great. I almost want to order it, even if I do not own an A4000 and could not use it. So enticing. 😋

However, I would need an external keyboard case of aluminium for my A1200 installed in a Micronik tower kit
together with a Z2 bus Expansion board. With an adapter I can surely use external A2000/3000/4000 keyboards.

Currently, my A1200 keyboard is in a custom plastic housing offered by Micronik in the 90s and works with an internal PS/2 Interface.

I'll behome from my holiday coming weekend, and am expecting the part to be shipped to me by the end of this week as well (expected arrival early next week).

Black parts can be shipped immediately, white parts need to be powder coated at a local supplier

Just got notice from DHL that the fronts will arrive coming monday!!
