Dear all,

I've received an update from the manufacturer that they expect a shipping date of March 8, 2021.

As shoot - I missed this! Let me know if there is another round!

Hi bitwinter and IamGroot,

If there are at least 10 interested again, there can be a new round.

With regard to the current round, the items have arrived today except the RAL 9003 parts.
The RAL 9002 parts are still plain aluminium and I will contact the powder coater Friday as I’m currently too busy with work.

The Aluminium and Black parts will be sent out this weekend.

Just received my new black front panel. Very, very impressed with the result! Can't wait to install it onto my Amiga.

Feedback left

The RAL9002 front panels and covers were dropped off at the powder coater today. Expected delivery time, approx 5 working days.

@alainneke
Thanks!
Positive feedback left as well.

I have received my front yesterday. What can I say? Black is beautiful. :D

The quality is better than the second batch with the first disk covers. A slight issue with the different surface structure of the disk covers, which looks at some angles darker than the rest of the front is recognizable. But overall, I am absolutely happy with it.

Positive feedback will come!

And yes, I am interested in a A3000 front as well !!!

Nice setup. What will you do with the PSU and Switch?

Thanks :)
The PSU is borrowed from a other A4000. For this machine I have ordered a new SFX PSU. With a 3D print adapter the switch will be exactly at the right position. This adapter model you can find at a1k or somewhere in the internet.

I had some issues using an ATX PSU (also SFX) with the Amikit ATX2Amiga adapter. The pins in the connector were not making good contact (one of the two ground pins) and that led to all sorts of issues. Mainly distorted RGB signals.

Only after I modified the ATX PSU with an Amiga Power plug, the problems dissapeared (also mentioned in an A1k thread, search for Picasso IV problems).

I have ordered a SFX DC/DC converter design, like https://seasonic.com/sfg This one should be good and works also with zero load at 3.3V rail. Additionaly my plan is to build Matzes ATX power adaper, which has some safety features, power switch and generation of missing signals für the Amiga.

And yes, I am interested in a A3000 front as well !!!

Yes, I think @PRS and I should start thinking about that soon. I guess meeting somewhere end of April/beginning of May (after mei vakantie) will fit my schedule. I have some other challenges inside my house that both needs work/time and space though. But the A3000 needs to be disassembled anyway to fit the AA3000+ board.

Yesterday the RAL 9003 panels arrived and I've shipped them out today. There is a slight color difference noticable between the front panel and the drive covers, but minimal. I do not think that removing the powder coat and getting them powder coated at the local supplier will improve the result.

In anticipation of my new front panel I revamped my A4000 PSU too, and ended up putting an ATX PSU into my A4000 PSU case -- didn't get on with the Amikit adapter.

Total overkill but works a treat!

Ignore the date on the sticker, I was a year ahead of myself :)

Well the original PSU went out with a spare A4k that I had. I needed the space anyway, for a SCSI CD-rom, and went for a SFX PSU. Not a DC/DC version that Ollis has mentioned as I didn't even know it existed. Now I need one too!
